
Qazigund, Nov 22: Nine cases of Hepatitis-A have been reported in Churat village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, official said on Saturday.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kulgam, Dr Showkat said, 8-9 cases of Hepatitis-A have been reported in Churat Village, “I personally visited Churat to assess the situation on ground. People must strictly boil drinking water, maintain sanitation, and seek immediate medical help if symptoms appear. Our teams are conducting door-to-door checks to contain the spread and ensure community safety.” he said.
“Our teams have collected 15 samples of water and blood samples of ill childrens and the results are expected within a day or two”, he added.
