Qazigund, Dec 1: An elderly man was killed after being hit by a vehicle at Nipora along Jammu Srinagar NH44 in Qazigund on Monday, officials said.
An official told that an accident took place along Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Nipora area of Qazigund as a pedestrian was hit by a speedy vehicle.
He said the victim received critical wounds and was shifted to PHC Vessu where from he was referred to GMC Anantnag where he succumbs his injures.
The deceased has been identified Abdul Ahad Khanday a resident of Nipora, Qazigund.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigation.
