Kulgam, Nov 29: A young girl from South Kashmir’s Kulgam district has touched hearts and won appreciation by hand-writing the Holy Quran in a short period of time.
Minha Qayoom , a 13-year-old girl from Nillow Kulgam, who is a class 7 student has become a role model after she hand-wrote the holy Quran wrote the Quran on close to 611 pages in four months.
Minha said that she wrote the quran from 10PM to 2AM every day while also managing her studies. She expressed gratitude for the support from her family during this endeavor.
“My family supported me wholeheartedly in the procedure. I would like to thank my Imam Sahib sb who helped me and strengthened my moral compass,” she added.
She in her message to youth said that they must prefer life after death more and must stay away from social evils so as to make society better.
She said that giving education to girls is a must as educating a woman is considered to be like educating the whole family but education shouldn’t take them away from Islam.
“My aim in life is to become a Hafizah (one who memorises the whole Qur’an by heart)” she said
