Kulgam, Dec 19:The Tehsil Body Elections for Devsar and Pehloo tehsils were held successfully today under the overall supervision of DP Kulgam. The election process was conducted in the presence of Election Authority Mr. Muzamil Rashid, Election Observer & Province Member Arshid Yousuf Mallah, TP Kulgam Lateef Sahib, and TP Qaimoh Tariq Ahmad Bhat.
The elections were carried out in a peaceful, transparent, and democratic manner, reflecting the strong commitment of the organization towards grassroots-level leadership and representation.
Following the conclusion of the voting and counting process, Yasir Mushtaq was elected as President of Tehsil Pahloo, Nisar Ahmad Malik elected as Vice President Sajad Ahmad Thoker as Secretary, Mohd Rajab Mallah as Accountant and Waseem Raja as Delegate. While Altaf Hussain Bhat emerged as the President of Tehsil Devsar, Irfan Hussain Mir elected as Vice President, Suhail Javid as Secretary,.Hilal Ahmad Dar as Accountant, Ulfat Maqbool Delegate, Showkat Ahmad Bhat Delegate, Shakir Ahmad Mantoo Delegate and Muzamil Ahmad Naikoo Delegate. Their election reflects the confidence and trust reposed by members in their leadership and vision.
Addressing the gathering, the newly elected presidents reiterated their resolve to work selflessly for strengthening the organization, addressing grassroots issues, and ensuring effective coordination between leadership and members. The election observers and senior functionaries congratulated the newly elected bodies and emphasized the importance of unity, accountability, and people-centric leadership in the coming term.
