Srinagar, Dec 19 : Security has been intensified along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) at Qazigund, with comprehensive vehicle checking being carried out to maintain law and order and curb any anti-national activities.
An official told news agency that the senior police officers are present on the ground under the supervision of ASP Highway Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, following the directions of SSP Kulgam Anayat Ali Choudhary. All types of vehicles are being thoroughly checked as part of the heightened security measures.
He said the intensified checking drive aims to ensure a peaceful and secure environment in the region. Commuters have been urged to cooperate with security personnel during the checking process.
