Khudwani (Kulgam) Dec 4: In a significant public outreach effort, the Indian Army’s 1 RR (Rashtriya Rifles) on Wednesday organised a free medical camp at Redwani, Kulgam, in collaboration with Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Qaimoh.
The initiative witnessed the presence of senior police officials, including DySP Qaimoh, SHO Qaimoh, alongside Major 1RR and BMO Qaimoh, who applauded the joint endeavour aimed at strengthening the health support system for the local population.
A large number of residents turned up to avail free medical consultations, medicines, and basic diagnostic facilities offered by Army medical officers and SDH Qaimoh staff. The camp was organised to enhance healthcare accessibility in remote pockets of the district and further bolster civil military cooperation.
“We are here to help the locals as much as possible, we hope to continue such camps in the future as well,” said an army official.
One of the attendees expressed gratitude, says “I wasn’t feeling well and visited here. The doctors checked me, conducted tests and screening, and provided me free medicines. It was very helpful.”
The camp concluded with overwhelming appreciation from the locals, marking yet another impactful community-centric initiative by the Army.
