Asserting Party’s Commitment to Public Welfare, Senior NC Leader Imran Amin Shah Highlights Development Initiatives

Anantnag, May 25: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and Vice District President of Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, emphasized the party’s unwavering commitment to public welfare, stating that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is working tirelessly to steer Jammu and Kashmir out of the current challenges.

During his tour of Magreypora and Anzullah today, Shah said that the NC, even in the initial phase of its government, has taken various historic and commendable decisions. He highlighted that the party has consistently been at the forefront of public welfare initiatives, such as the long-awaited sanctioning of funds for the hospital in Anzullah-Sarnal—pending for over a decade—making it functional, and the shifting of the maternity hospital to MABM Hospital, along with several other developmental projects.

Imran Shah further stated that the NC believes in action over rhetoric, contrasting it with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), which, according to him, misled the public with hollow promises, nepotism, and rampant corruption during their tenure.

Imran Shah alleged that the current issues facing Jammu and Kashmir, including the abrogation of Article 370 and the loss of special status, are a result of PDP’s misadventures. Shah called upon the PDP to introspect and apologize to the people for the suffering caused instead of blaming the NC.

Urging the district administration to expedite the implementation of long-pending developmental works, Shah stressed the need to fast-track the execution of the water supply scheme in Magreypora-Achabal, for which government funds have already been sanctioned. He also highlighted the urgent need for macadamization of roads and other infrastructure improvements in the area.
