Anantnag, Apr 13: Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir Range, Javid Iqbal Matoo chaired a review meeting on crime and UAPA-related cases at DPO Anantnag.
Senior officers including SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure, SP North Camp Aishmuqam and other district officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the DIG stressed the need to strengthen the intelligence network, ensure real-time information sharing and maintain close coordination among field units. He directed officers to expedite investigations while strictly adhering to legal procedures.
The chair also emphasized proactive policing and intensified efforts to curb criminal and anti-national activities. Officers were instructed to maintain heightened vigilance and ensure timely follow-up in sensitive cases.
SSP Anantnag briefed the meeting on the prevailing crime scenario and progress achieved in ongoing investigations.
The DIG urged all officers to remain professional and committed towards maintaining peace, security and rule of law in the district.
