Kulgam, Dec 5: Following the protest staged by MGNREGA job card holders over alleged deletion of works in Pombai Block by BDO Pombai in Kulgam district, authorities making it clear that manipulated attendance under no circumstances will be entertained.

Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kulgam, Bilal Ahmad Kamgar said, “NMMS isn’t just an app, it’s a nationwide accountability mechanism, monitored simultaneously at block, district, directorate, and secretariat levels, leaving little room for manipulation”.

“Each attendance entry uploaded is being monitored by teams at Block, District, secretariat and Mord Level who scrutinize it minute by minute, worker by worker, worksite by worksite. Nothing goes unnoticed anymore”, he said.

“Fake attendance won’t be tolerated in MGNREGA. Ensure fair and transparent attendance, so that benefits of the schemes are delivered to the deserving Labour class of the society” the ACD warned, assuring that necessary action will follow wherever discrepancies are detected.

He urges all MGNREGA Job card holders to fully cooperate with the department, to provide accurate attendance details of job card holders as required under the MGNREGA guidelines.
