Matter already taken up with the higher ups for repairing of the road: AEE PMGSY
Kulgam, May 5: A vital road connecting Kund valley with Qazigund in Devsar belt area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district has collapsed even as locals demand immediate repair work on the road.
According to the locals this road is the shortest road connecting Kund valley with Qazigund belt via Watihal has collapsed, which posing a grave threat to the safety of commuters.
“It has been months now that the road is in dilapidated condition. Commuters face a lot of hardships as the road is full of danger that end up hindering smooth traffic movement,” said a local.
They said that the admin should take immediate steps to repair the road as thousands of people are using it for daily commuting.
When Contacted, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) PMGSY Kulgam, Manzoor Ahmad Dar, said that matter has been already taken up with the higher ups for repairing of the road.
