“I started calligraphy two years ago,” she shared, adding that the art has played a significant role in her life. Despite being visually impaired, Muntazir has proven that determination and talent can overcome any obstacle.
Speaking with us, Muntazir recalled her participation in two talent hunt camps organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Social Welfare Department, where she secured the second position. Her achievements don’t end there—she also earns a modest income through her craft, making 3,000 to 4,000 rupees per month, depending on the orders she receives.
“Obviously, I am a visual impairment patient, but that doesn’t stop me,” she said with unwavering confidence. “I worked hard, and Alhamdulillah, I became successful to some extent.”
Muntazir has a heartfelt message for the youth of the Valley: “Don’t stop. Go ahead; this world is yours. Show your talent on every stage.” She also urged her peers to stay away from drugs and other societal evils. “Be the shoulder of your father and make your family proud,” she added.
