(Devsar), Kulgam, Sep 15: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday hit out at National conference Leader Farooq Abdullah said Under NC rule they brought Ikhwan, task force, POTA to state.
While addressing a mega public rally at Devsar area of South Kashmiri’s Kulgam district, she said “The public of Jammu and Kashmir has understood that PDP had established good governance in the state. Universities, colleges, and AIIMS were established by the PDP government,” Mufti said.
She further emphasised that her father’s founding of the PDP prevented the NC from continuing its alleged dictatorial methods: “If Mufti Mohammed Sayeed had not founded PDP then the National Conference would still be functioning in a dictatorial manner. People are very angry and upset with the National Conference.”
“PDP too formed governments in the past in alliance with the Congress and the BJP, but these alliances were based “on principles”.
“We formed governments with Congress and BJP which were based on principles. We ensured dialogue with Pakistan, brought a high-level delegation of MPs to the doors to Hurriyat Conference, withdrew 12,000 FIRs which were lodged against youth in the times of NC rule,” she claimed.
