Devsar (Kulgam) Nov 28: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Devsar constituency Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah on Thursday Inaugurates three day Training program for Anganwadi workers under ‘Poshan Bhi, Padhai Bhi’ at Townhall Devsar belt of Kulgam district.
Among others, Tehsildar Devsar Raqib Ahmad Ganie, Block Development Officer (BDO) Devsar, Arif Ayaz Dar, CDPO ICDS Devsar Haneefa, Station House Officer (SHO) Devsar Rishi Kumar, Incharge EO Municipality Devsar Abid Afzal, Agriculture officer Devsar, Firdous Rather and other officers and officials were present on the occasion.
Hundreds of anganwadi workers also participated in the training program.
Talking to reporters on the sideline of the function, MLA Shah said “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’ programme under ICDS, aimed at promoting education and nutrition among children in the belt.
“The training programme seeks to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the holistic development of children in the area”, he said, adding the multi-faceted initiative aims to educate the participants the importance of improved cognitive development among children, role of proper nutrition for enhanced cognitive function, enabling children to focus and learn more effectively.
