Kulgam, Aug 23: In a significant enforcement action, the Adjudicating Officer Food Safety and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Mr. Vikas Ahmad Giri, has imposed a fine of ₹2,10,000 on three individuals involved in the sale of a nutraceutical product in the district.
This move underscores the authorities’ commitment to ensuring compliance with food safety regulations in the district.
“Strict action has been taken to uphold food quality standards and prevent the sale of unsafe consumables. Businesses have been reminded to maintain proper hygiene and sanitation in food handling, conduct regular quality checks to prevent contamination and adulteration, ensure accurate labeling and packaging as per FSSAI guidelines”, an official told VOI.
