Devsar (Kulgam) Dec 01: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Vice President Mohammad Sartaj Madni on Sunday strongly countered the recent remarks of MLA Devsar, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah, who alleged that the PDP had done “nothing” for Devsar constituency during its tenure.
Responding to the statement, Madni said that the developmental works highlighted by MLA Feroz Shah — including the inauguration of two roads “were originally proposed and sanctioned during my tenure as MLA Devsar.”
He said that when the people of Devsar gave him the mandate, the “development across the entire belt stood at zero percent,” adding that the major projects visible today “were laid and established during my time in office.”
Madni further accused the National Conference of failing to fulfill the promises made in its election manifesto, particularly regarding employment generation.
“Thousands of educated youth have become over-aged and lost hope due to unfulfilled commitments,” Madni said, alleging that the National Conference has failed to provide jobs to the youth.
