Qazigund, Feb 24: A JCB operator from Qazigund was killed as the vehicle turned turtle in Budgam district of central Kashmir on Monday evening, sources said.
JCB operator identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Shan son of Bashir Ahmad Shan, a resident of Nipora in Qazigund was critically injured in the accident and was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
“Pall of gloom descended in Nipora village when body of the deceased reached the home, most people were inconsolable, more so the women who were see wailing. Hardly there was any soul who was not crying”, locals said.
