Qazigund, March 11: A residential building was gutted in a fire incident that broke out in Vessu area of Qazigund on Wednesday evening, officials said.
Soon after the fire broke out, teams from the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) rushed to the spot and launched an operation to douse the flames.
Officials said the firefighters were on job to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures in the area.
Reports said the building suffered significant damage in the incident. However, no loss of life or injuries were reported till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
