Kulgam, October 01: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Kulgam Police have arrested two drug Peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A police party of Police Post Mirbazar headed by IC PP Mirbazar established a Naka at Malpora Chowk aand intercepted one vehicle (Truck) bearing Registration No. JK08-6623 with 02 persons; Mohd Aslam Kumar S/O Abdul Gani Kumar R/O Marhama Anantnag and Rakesh Kumar S/O Darshan Kumar R/O Pathankot Punjab on board. During search, 4.6Kgs of Poppy Straw like contraband substance filled in a nylon bag was recovered. Both persons have been arrested.
Accordingly, a case with FIR No. 214/2023 U/S 8/15,29 of NDPS act has been registered at Police Station Qazigund and investigation has been initiated.
