Kulgam, May 3: After the water supply remained suspended from last four days in Mondhole, Chandian, Pajan, the officials at Jal Shakti department on Friday said that water supply to these affected areas of Devsar belt will be restored by today evening.
“The team is on job. We are expecting to restore the supply by evening in these affected areas”, Mohd Rafiq, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Jal Shakti department, Qazigund, said.
“Water scarcity was hit due to the dejointing of pipes at some places following the continuos rainfall, restoration is under process, hopefully it will be restored by today evening”, he said.
On May 1: Voice of India received reports that Mandhole and Chandian Pajan residents in south kashmiri’s Kashmir’s Kulgam district have been hit by water shortage due to recent flashflood following continuos rainfall.
