Qazigund, July 18: A 28-year-old youth was stabbed to death allegedly by a thief who entered his house at Sangran area of Qazigund on Friday, sources said.
Official Sources said a youth identified as Zahid Ahmad Banday, son of Mohd Yaseen Banday was stabbed to death while resisting robbery bid inside his home at Kishgund Sangran in Qazigund in wee hours on Friday.
“Banday sustained severe injuries from the thief’s weapon and was rushed to the nearby hospital but was declared dead upon arrival”, a relative of Banday told VOI.
“Accused has been arrested on the spot who is from Badragund Qazigund”, Police official said.
“A case was registered and further investigation is on in this regard”, he added.
