Kulgam, Nov 20 : Fourteen higher secondary schools continue to remain headless affecting the academic and administrative functioning in these educational institutions in Kulgam district.
According to official figures, 14 posts of principals are lying vacant in the higher secondary schools of Kulgam district.
Also, 127 lecturer posts are vacant, Deputy CEO post is unfilled and three out of six ZEO posts are also vacant in the district for months.
The absence of principals and lecturers has severely impacted the functioning of these schools. Parents have confirmed that their children’s educational institutions are running without proper supervision, which is detrimental to the quality of education. They requested authorities to fill these vacancies promptly.
