Kulgam, October 14: In a significant achievement, Kulgam Police have apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for nearly two decades.
Acting on specific information, a police party under the supervision of DySP PC Mirbazar Nacim Akram and led by SHO Police Station Qaimoh Kushab Michael conducted a special operation to apprehend the accused Abu Sheikh, son of Ama Sheikh, resident of Wanpora. The said individual was wanted in FIR No. 170/2004 under Sections 380/458 of the RPC, registered at Police Station Kulgam.
The accused had been declared a proclaimed offender vide Warrant No. 166/Mk dated 09/03/2016 under Section 512 CrPC issued by the Hon’ble Court of Munsif JMIC Kulgam.
Demonstrating sustained efforts and commitment towards ensuring justice, the police team successfully arrested the absconder after years of continuous tracking and intelligence-based operations.
The arrested individual produced before the Hon’ble Court of Munsif JMIC Kulgam for further legal proceedings.
