Thousands of devotees visit shrine and prayed for long-lasting peace in Kashmir
Kulgam, Feb 10: Amid freezing winter, the annual Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Syed Noor shah Wali Baghdadi (RA) was celebrated with religious fervor at Waltangoo area of Kund in Southkashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.
An eyewitness said that thousands of people, including women and children, visited the shrine to pay their obeisance. The maximum rush of devotees was witnessed on yesterday afternoon when devotees converged at the shrine to offer special prayers along with the recitation of Quran and Naat.
According to a local resident told, every year devotees from different walks of life throng the shrine to pay reverence to the saint and seek his blessings.
During the sermon, the preachers threw light on the Islamic teachings and life of Hazrat Syed Noor shah Wali Baghdadi (RA), who devoted his life to the service of people and preaching of Islam.
The urs mubarak is being observed on 9th February every year. The devotees during the Urs prayed for long-lasting peace in Kashmir and sought peace, blessings and mercy from Almighty Also Dua-e-Majlis and Fateh khawani was offered by the devotees.
