Budgam, Oct 25 : The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Budgam has issued a 15-day traffic diversion plan due to the ongoing restoration work on the damaged expansion joints of Bemina Bridge.
As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the diversion, which will be in effect from October 25, 2024, aims to alleviate congestion and ensure safety on the Budgam to Baramulla-Jammu NH-44 route.
The notice issued by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Budgam reads that, as per the communication received from Deputy Commissioner Budgam, all the transporters of district Budgam are hereby informed that there shall be ‘Traffic Diversion’ for a period of 15 days w.e.f 25.10.2024 on the existing Budgam to Baramulla-Jammu NH-44 route to alternative route as per the route plan devised by the concerned authorities.
It further reads that, as such, all the concerned transporters of District Budgam shall follow the devised alternate route plan in letter and spirit. The alternative Route Plan is: “Budgam to Ansari Toyota Via Hamdaniya Colony, Durbal, Sharifabad. Budgam to Tengpora Bridge Via Bemina Budgam road, Khomani Chowk, Narkara, Gangabugh.”
