Kulgam, June 4: The district administration Kulgam on Wednesday directed concerned officers to ensure that there is non-conversion of agriculture land for commercial or any other purpose in the district without proper permission.
As per the order issued by district administration Kulgam, it states that “It has come to the notice of this office that commercial structures are being raised in urban as well as in rural areas without proper Change of Land Use permission and building construction permission, which is a serious violation of government rules/regulations and has resulted in illegal conversion of agricultural land, loss to the state exchequer and unplanned construction of commercial buildings”.
“Accordingly, it is enjoined upon all the Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, Executive Officers of Municipal Committees and Agriculture Extension Officers of the District to ensure that no agricultural land is converted to commercial purposes without proper permission for Change of Land Use and also be ensure that no commercial building is constructed without proper permission from competent authority and report such violation immediately to this office”, reads an order.
“Any violation in this regard shall be dealt as per standing rules and regulations”, it reads further.
