Srinagar, May 28: A woman died while a teenager was injured after a vehicle was hit by a rock near Pani Matha Zojilla on Sonamarg-Gumri road in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the rock rolled down from a mountain and hit the vehicle coming from Kargil towards Srinagar near Pani Matha Zojilla.
He said that in the incident two persons including a woman were injured and they were shifted to Public Health Centre (PHC) Sonamarg for treatment.
The injured woman identified as Batool (25), daughter of Syed Asadullah of Kargil succumbed to her injuries at PHC Sonamarg, he said.
The official added that the injured teenager identified as Irfan Ali (17) was shifted to Bone & Joint (B&J) hospital Srinagar for specialized treatment
