
Devsar (Kulgam) Aug 5: Illegal constructions on state and agriculture land go unabated at Devsar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district as Tehsildar Devsar fail to take action against the encroachers and violators.
Violators, as per residents, are raising constructions in type of shops, complexs etc on state and agriculture land at various of Devsar tehsil particularly in Kund belt without seeking permission from concerned authorities.
“Despite the government imposing a ban on such constructions, they were going on in full swing. They said that taking undue advantage and the rich and affluent people with the help of authorities are constructing commercial structures on state and agriculture land”, they added.
“We informed every concerned official about the illegal construction on state land. But the action against the accused remain only on papers,” the locals said.
They urged Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam and other concerned authorities to look into the matter at earliest.
