Kulgam, July 9: Despite order issued from the office of the District Magistrate (DM), Kulgam construction materials are being dumped routinely in various roads in Kulgam district, the locals alleged on Wednesday.
Sources said that the order of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam to remove all public nuisances including garbage heaps, cow dung, construction material, and obstructions in public ways are being openly violated in many areas and the concerned authorities don’t really seem to care.
The locals told that the various orders issued to restrict the dumping of construction materiel are confined only to papers and are being violated every now and then. “The main road from Devsar to Kulgam, Srundoo Jadipora road, Qaimoh, Pahloo to Mirbazar, Vessu to Devsar via Mandhole and others areas are proof of the constant violation,” locals claimed.
They seek intervention and attention of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam and have requested him to look into the matter and do the needful so that people do not suffer any more.
