Had taken up the matter with Jal Shakti department for repairing of the road: AEE R&B; We are already aware about it; Will repair it within a day or two: AEE Jal Shakti
Kulgam, April 12: A macadamised road at Mondhole area of Devsar belt in south Kashmiri’s Kulgam district was damaged after Jal Shakti department dug it to lay water pipeline two weeks ago.
Locals told VOI that the road was macdamised by the R&B department after decades; however, the Jal Shakti department began excavating it to lay pipes, which caused harm to the road near sumo stand.
The locals, exhibiting their dissatisfaction, said that the task of laying pipes should have been accomplished before macadamisation of the road.
The residents appealed to the higher officials to undertake the repair the said road as soon as possible.
When Contacted Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of R&B Devsar, Rayees Ahmad Zargar told VOI that work of installing pipes was executed by Jal Shakti Department, adding that they had taken up the matter with them, hopefully the concerned department would repaired it at earliest.
Meanwhile, upon contacting, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Jal Shakti division Qazigund, Mohd Rafiq told VOI that they are already aware about it, adding that the said road would be repaired within a day or two.
