Kulgam, November 7: Continuing its drive against social crimes, Police in Kulgam have arrested 02 gamblers and seized stake money and playing cards.
Acting on reliable information regarding the gambling activities at Sursuna in an open field near railway station Harnag, a police party headed by SHO PS Qaimoh . During raid 02 Gamblers were arrested red handed while gambling & Stake money of Rs-69000/- & playing cards recovered from their possession.They have been identified as Arif Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman Dar and Asif Ahmad Dar Son of Nazir Ahmad Dar both residents of Shoul Batengo .
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Qaimoh and investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
