Kulgam Police on toes evacuates dozens of nomadic families from flood-prone areas to safety in Kulgam amid inclement weather

Kulgam, Sep 2 : Amid the inclement weather, Kulgam Police on their toes and have rescued dozens of nomadic families along with their livestock across Kulgam district and shifted them to safer places.

An senior police officer told that “acting promptly on ground reports and weather alerts in Kulgam, police teams were dispatched to vulnerable locations across Kulgam district where nomadic families had set up temporary shelters. The families were safely evacuated and relocated to higher ground and safer zones identified by the administration. Police personnel provided immediate assistance, including transport, logistical support, and ensured that the evacuated families were safely accommodated in temporary shelters”.

Police urges the public to stay alert and follow advisories issued by the authorities. Emergency services remain on standby and are fully prepared to respond to any further developments

Meanwhile, Locals have lauded the efforts and swift action of Kulgam Police.
