Kulgam, Sep 3: Kulgam Orchardist alleged that the Jal Shakti (PHE) department has failed to fix leakage in a pipeline in his orchard which has rendered serious damage to his orchard at Behibagh Kulgam.
He said that it has been around three months that the issue has been brought up to the notice of PHE officials. However, he says that PHE officials have not been able to come to the rescue of the affected Orchardist,
“The leakage in the PHE pipeline is causing severe damage to my orchard and the water is seeping deep down the earth which damages the apple trees of my orchard”, he said.
He requested district administration Kulgam and other concerned authorities to look into the matter and repair the leakage pipeline at earliest.
Meanwhile, a senior offical at Jal Shakti department told that they would repair the leakage pipeline within a day or two.
