
Anantnag, April 8: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure (IPS), on Wednesday assumed charge and outlined his priorities, placing a strong emphasis on eradicating the drug menace from the district.
Speaking to reporters, SSP Amod said that one of his top priorities would be to act tough against drug peddling and work towards making Anantnag a drug-free district.
He said that substance abuse has severely impacted the younger generation and requires collective efforts to combat.
He further stated that his office will remain open to the public on all working days, without any requirement for prior appointments or fixed visiting hours. “Anyone with suggestions, complaints or grievances can directly visit my office. There will be no hindrance,” he said.
To ensure better connectivity with the people, the SSP also shared his contact number (7051000999) for important matters and emergencies.
He appealed to the public to come forward with information regarding drug peddling, crime or any anti-national activities, assuring that the identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
