Anantnag, May 27: National Conference District Vice President Imran Amin Shah today extended his gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for convening a cabinet meeting in Pahalgam in the aftermath of the recent terror attack, calling it a bold and reassuring move that sent a clear message to the enemies of peace.

Shah, while addressing transporters at the Anantnag General Bus Stand, said the decision to hold the cabinet meeting in Pahalgam reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to restoring normalcy and standing with the people in the face of terrorism.

During his interaction, Shah appreciated the transport community for their essential public service and assured them of all possible support from the government. “The Omar Abdullah-led government is working tirelessly for all sections of society, and transporters are a crucial part of our social and economic framework,” he said.

Referring to the impact of the Pahalgam terror attack on the tourism industry, Shah urged transporters to play a constructive role in its revival. “Kashmiris have once again demonstrated that they stand united against terror. Such cowardly acts will neither intimidate our people nor derail our collective pursuit of peace,” he added.

He emphasized the resilience of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, saying that their spirit and resolve will continue to drive the region forward despite all odds.
