Upon a comprehensive dossier prepared by Srinagar Police, the PIT NDPSA warrant was issued from the competent authority subsequently, the accused person was lodged in District Jail Udhampur, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

The aforementioned drug peddler is a habitual offender, having been previously involved in FIR No. 131/2022 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Safakadal. Despite having been bound down under preventive measures repeatedly, Shakeel Kano persisted with his involvement in illegal drug trafficking, posing a grave threat to the society, especially, the youth, the statement reads.
