Kulgam, July 7: As temperatures continue to soar, Patients and attendants are suffering a lot in District Hospital (DH) Kulgam due to a lack of basic summer amenities, including Air-Conditioners (ACs) and fans.
“The temperature within the wards is intolerable, and attendants occasionally take patients out to obtain some fresh air. “I take my patient outside for fresh air, but some patients cannot do so due to their serious ailments,” an attendant said.
“Rich people can afford to go to private hospitals and avail state-of-the-art facilities. What about poor patients like us?”, another attendant asked.
Patients said that the heat wave conditions are causing inconvenience, exacerbating the distress of patients already coping with health issues.
Medical Superintendent of DH Kulgam Dr. Syed Masood, told that they are prioritizing the resolution of the issue, and are actively working on it, though it may take a few days to get the issue addressed.
