Kulgam, July 12: Kulgam Police on Friday attached property worth 3 crore of drug peddler involved in multiple cases in Bonigam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official told that commercial cum residential house valuing 3 crore approx) belonging to drug peddler namely Ab Rashid Rather alas Mathur son of Gh Hassan Rather of Bonigam, Qazigund presently lodged in central Jail Kot Balwal Jammu under PIT NDPS Act.
“The actions were taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985. adding that property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation and enquiry conducted by Police” he said.
“Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace,” police said.
