Talking to reporters, during his visit at several polling stations in Kulgam, Khan, said Polling is going on smoothly across Kulgam district, “Adequate facilities have been provided at each polling station, with Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF’s) like drinking water, electricity, toilet, ramp, furniture, verandah/shed besides wheel chairs will also be provided to the needy and senior citizens,” he said.
Hoping to see high voter turnout this time, he said that people should exercise their democratic right and duty to vote for the candidate of their choice. “It is not only a right but also a responsibility,” he said.
Notably: Long queues were seen at several booths early Wednesday as voting in the first phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls began on a brisk note.
