Kulgam, July 8: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) today observed the 19th death anniversary of Shaheed Ghulam Nabi Dar, former District President Anantnag and former Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kulgam, by offering Fateha at his ancestral graveyard in Chawalgam, Kulgam.

Senior NC leaders, local representatives, and party workers gathered at the graveyard to pay rich tributes to the late leader, recalling his lifelong dedication to public service, democratic values, and the cause of Kashmir.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, NC State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar described Shaheed Ghulam Nabi Dar as a courageous and principled leader whose sacrifices continue to guide and inspire the party. “He laid down his life for the people and for the ideals the National Conference upholds. His contributions to the political and social upliftment of the region will never be forgotten,” he said.

The party also called upon its cadre and supporters to remember the legacy of Shaheed Ghulam Nabi Dar and to uphold the values he stood for. Special prayers were held for the departed soul, with party members praying for eternal peace to the martyr.

The commemoration reflected the deep respect and reverence the party continues to hold for one of its most devoted leaders.
