Kulgam, Sept 2: A Minor girl on Monday slipped into a irrigation canal at Laisoo Gudder area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, official said.
He identified the girl as Zaira Imtiyaz, (3) daughter of Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat of Laisoo Gudder.
He said the minor was playing near the irrigation canal when she suddenly fell into it subsequently shifted to hospital, however, doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
A pall of gloom descended in the village when the news of the infant’s death spread. Many villagers were seen comforting the family for the loss.
