Kulgam August 27: As today is the last day for filing nomination papers, for 40-Devsar Assembly constituency, Politicians make a beefline to file nomination Papers for the seat.
Hundreds of supporters of various political parties converged outside offices of returning officer Devsar AC on Tuesday, The mood was electric with the waving of flags and vigorous sloganeering,
Among political heavyweights from the National Conference candidate, Peerzada Faroze, DPAP Mohd Amin Bhat, Awami Itihad Party, Dr. Suhail, Apni party, Reyaz Ahmad Bhat, Congress Amanullah Mantoo, AAP, Fida Hussain among others to file their nominations before RO 40-Devsar AC today.
The scrutiny of nominations for the Assembly constituencies of Kulgam District will take place in the respective Returning Officers’ tomorrow, August 28, 2024.
The last date for the withdrawal of candidature is August 30, 2024.
In 40-Devsar AC there are 112381 voters including 56199 Male, 56175 female and 7 transgender and 127 polling stations have been established in Devsar AC.
Notably: The polling for the first phase of the electoral process is scheduled for September 18, 2024. Polling will be conducted from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the scheduled day.
