Kulgam, Feb 13: A residential house was damaged after a fire broke out at Chawalgam area of Kulgam district on Tuesday.
An official told that the fire engulfed a residential house at around 5 pm and caused significant damage to its roofing, ceilings, windows, and doors.
He said the house owned by Gull Mohd Peer resident of Chawalgam, Kulgam.
“Timely intervention of firefighters and locals doused the flames and prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent localities”, he said.
The official said the cause of fire was being ascertained.
