Mumbai, Jan. 16 — Mumbai erupted in excitement and energy as over 3,000 enthusiastic participants gathered at the picturesque Gorai Jetty for the highly anticipated inaugural Water Kingdom Marathon 2025 on Sunday morning. With the city still at rest, the atmosphere was electric as families, seasoned athletes, and fitness enthusiasts of all ages united for the first marathon of the year. The event, featuring 3KM, 5KM, and 10KM race categories, became a vibrant celebration of fitness, marking a spectacular start to 2025 for all involved.

The marathon quickly transformed into a vibrant festival of health and wellness. Prior to the flag-off, an energetic pre-race warm-up session, led by a DJ and Emcee, infused the crowd with energy, setting the tone for the day. The official race flag-off was conducted by Paresh Mishra, CEO of Water Kingdom, and Flight Lieutenant Anand Lamdhade, Senior Vice President of Operations at Water Kingdom, further reinforcing the event’s commitment to promoting a culture of health and fitness across Mumbai.

As participants embarked on their respective race routes, the atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm. Families, community groups, and cheering spectators added to the uplifting spirit, creating an inspiring environment for the runners. The event also offered a meaningful opportunity for participants to fulfill their New Year’s fitness resolutions, adding a layer of personal achievement to the experience.

The winners of each category were celebrated on stage, with their accomplishments acknowledged through well-earned prizes, including cash awards and exciting experiences. Top finishers in the 10KM, 5KM, and 3KM categories received entry tickets to Water Kingdom Water Park, EsselWorld Bird Park, and the Tic Tac Toe toddler play area, adding extra enjoyment to their victory. After the race, participants were treated to snacks, medals, and certificates, reflecting on their sense of pride and achievement.
