Kulgam, Sep 5: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for Devsar assembly constituency Sheikh Fida Hussain continues his election campaign in Devsar 40-AC from last one week and sought vote and support from people in upcoming Assembly elections.
Talking to Kashmir Upfront Sheikh Fida Hussain said AAP is the only viable alternative to traditional parties who always cheated the voters, adding people of Devsar have repeatedly given chances to the NC, PDP, Congress but there has been no improvement so far in the constituency.
Asked about AAP manifesto and it’s impact in J&K, Sheikh said “Vision of Arwind Kejriwal is to serve poor people in all aspects, adding AAP provides 300 units of free electricity for every household in Punjab and Delhi, also free water supply to each house hold in Delhi, while education and healthcare sectors have seen significant improved and same would be implemented in J&K if AAP comes to Power” he said.
When asked about regional parties manifesto regarding restoration of Article 370 and 35A, and others things, he said, Abdullahs, and Mufti’s families had exploited people of J&K, adding these families had done nothing for people of J&K since last 60 years, and if they had done anything for J&K people was pellets, Gun and graveyards for people in which 1.2 lakh youths have been killed till now”, he stated.
Asked about Jamaat-e-Islami contesting elections in J&K, Fida said, “Anyone contesting elections here according to constitution of india should be welcomed, adding it is pleasure move that Jamaat-e-Islami is contesting elections in J&K as it is their right in electoral participation, adding election is for all not for only Abdullahs, and Mufti’s families who had exploited people here”, he said.
Asked about his election campaign feedback from people, he stated “Campaign received an overwhelming positive response from the people, who expressed their inclination to vote for the Aam Aadmi party candidate in Devsar Constituency, as over the decades, the problems being faced by the people of Devsar have only increased under different Governments, now time has come for change in J&K and like Delhi and Punjab”, he said.
