Qazigund, June 13: Two persons died while another one was injured in twin road accidents in Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) two persons died and another one was injured near Shampora Crossing and Vessu areas of Qazigund respectively.
“At Shampora crossing an unknown vehicle hit a man identified as Kumar Sawant Singh son of Rajander Prasad of Rajasthan and he was declared dead at emergency hospital Qazigund”, he said.
He said in another accident two persons were taking a rest behind a parked truck, however, after some time the truck left the area and crushed the duo under it.
“One person identified as Gulzar Ahmad Bhat resident of Adigam died on the spot while another one was injured”, he added.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of both the incidents—(KNO)
