Kund (Kulgam) July 16: A solid waste management shed meant for waste segregation at Uril area of Kund belt in Kulgam district has turned as hay storage by local dweller of the area, alleged locals on Wednesday.
Locals said that construction of the shed was an appreciable move, but unfortunately it has been turned into like cowshed, where local dweller has kept hay for animals in the shed, while BDO Kund failed to take action against the accused.
“We have informed the Rural development department block Kund multiple times, but no action has been taken so far, it seems BDO Kund is hand in glove with the violator”, alleged locals.
They have requested Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Athar Amir Khan and concerned authorities to look into the matter at earliest.
