Qazigund, July 16: Illegal constructions continued unabated in Qazigund area of south kashmiri’s Anantnag district, mainly along the National Highway near Chaimullah bypass, as the administration has failed in acting against the accused.
Credible sources Informed VOI News that illegal constructions have come up along the National Highway 44 in Qazigund and other areas as many buildings and shopping complexes have been constructed in violations of norms and administration is sleeping over it.
Locals said that as the administration has failed to check the illegal constructions, more such constructions are coming up in the shape of shops and complexes.
“Affluent people with the help of authorities are constructing commercial structures on both sides of National highway at newly bypass Chaimullah in Qazigund, adding authorities have turned a blind eye towards these illegal constructions which going on”, alleged locals.
“We informed every concerned official about the illegal construction . But the action against the accused remain only on papers,” the locals said.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dooru, Parvaiz Rahim, when contacted on this matter told VOI News that “he will visit the site to check the fact, if illegal constructions has happened, strict action will be taken against the violators of the law”.
