
Srinagar, Sep 4: An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 struck Afghanistan late Thursday evening, with tremors felt across parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
the quake occurred at 22:26:29 IST with its epicenter located at latitude 34.58 N and longitude 70.66 E in Afghanistan, at a depth of 160 km.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties in Jammu and Kashmir. People in several districts, however, reported feeling tremors. (JKNS)
