All arrangements put in place to provide better services to public in Ramadan: Div Com

'Assures scheduled power, water in Ramadan'

Srinagar, Feb 27: As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir has assured the implementation of several key arrangements to facilitate the public during this period.

Speaking to reporters in Srinagar as per the news agency JKNS Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri said that the primary focus has been on ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply, especially during critical times such as Sehri (pre-dawn meal) and Iftar (evening meal).

He said that meeting in this regard has been conducted while one more will be conducted on Friday in this regard.

He said that currently 90 percent of areas are getting electricity while in other parts it is being restored.

The Chief Engineer of the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has been directed to provide seamless electricity during these peak hours. Similarly, measures are in place to maintain regular water supply to the public.—(JKNS)
