Altaf Memorial Govt. Degree College Kilam holds SVEEP awareness program to encourage voter participation in Devsar Constituency

District Election Office, Kulgam in collaboration with Altaf Memorial Govt. Degree College Kilam organized a programme under SVEEP
District Election Office, Kulgam in collaboration with Altaf Memorial Govt. Degree College Kilam organized a programme under the banner of SVEEP on 21st 2024 to create awareness among voters.

The programme was presided over by Dr.Shabir Ahmad Padder, Nodal officer SVEEP, AC 40-Devsar Kulgam.

The programme started with signature compaign in favour of SVEEP.

The participants in the signature campaign resolved to reach out to voters and urge them to cast their vote in upcoming assembly election in this constituency.

The signature campaign was followed by awareness about SVEEP in conference hall of the college.

The programme started with a speech from Dr. Kowser Ahmad Ganai, head department of History of the college. He in his speech throw light on SVEEP and its importance in a democracy.

He said democracy without large participation is meaningless.Dr.. Shabir Ahmad Padder, Nodal officer SVEEP, AC 40-Devsar Kulgam urged the young voters to realize the power of their vote.

He urged the participants to act as ambassadors and reach out to people and first time voters so that all eligible voters can cast their vote.

Mr.Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, District master trainer in his speech underlined the importance of a single vote in a democracy.
The programme was attended by large number of students/staff and local people from the Devsar constituency.
